Visiting the Hartmans

Vince and I visited the Hartmans on the way home from our Memorial Day weekend. Vince gave his first hugs this weekend to people other than Mommy and Daddy (well, the first hugs I've witnessed, that is). It was the most precious thing ever!! Madi was the first to get his hug, and then Gabe got one....and another and another! He tried to get Jacob too, but he's still not grasped the "gentile with babies" concept yet. Anyway, here are a few cute photos.

Scary face

I have to preface this post by saying that my son is not Satan, he just does a really good impersonation of him. These photos may scare you, but don't worry, because he gets this scrunchy nose from me...and we all know how sweet and charming I am...heehee. There are a couple cute ones mixed in there too: There's a cute scrunchy face where he got caught playing with Bosley's cage and dishes. Then he was sleeping in the car and he just kept right on sleeping when I pulled him out so I just dropped him in his crib, rain gear and all! And then of course he loves anything that belongs to grownups so he was wearing mommy's super cool shades in another photo. And last, there's a photo of my new baby bump at 14weeks. I will not be doing the email updates this time since I have the blog, so be sure to check back if you want to see how huge I'm getting! I tried to scan the sono pic, but the scanner at work is uncooperative and our computer at home is down. More to come soon.

Big Brother

From the title you may expect to see a commentary on the latest case of Big Brother watching us...nope. None of that here.
November 6, 2008 is the due date of our next little baby. We are thrilled to welcome her to the world and to our growing family. Notice my use of "her." I will be perfectly joyful if it's a boy, but I have had the overriding feeling the entire time I've been pregnant (13 weeks, by the way) that we're having a girl this time. It's the same instinct that told me all along that Vince was a boy. Although, Dan is convinced this one's a boy too. As I said, I will be overjoyed either way and I think we are going to wait to find out the sex of the baby until he/she gets here. If Vince was a little older it might help to know so that we could prepare him, but he's not going to understand there's even a baby coming, let alone will the sex of the baby make any difference to him.
On another note, Vince is teething again and we are all seeing the effect it has on his young demeanor. Mr. Grumpalumpagus is certainly very demanding during this time to say the least. The nice thing is he seems to be continuing to carry the trend of sprouting two teeth with each round, so it's like getting a "twofer" (and a toofer...heeehee). That's a play on words for those of you who don't appreciate lexical genius. (another joke)
We feel like we are getting closer to being able live together as a family and we are thanking the Lord for this hope! It was looking bleak for a while, but we are starting to believe (for various reasons) that it will happen soon. Of course now with the new baby coming there's even more of an urgency, but we trust that it's going to happen sooner than later. Hooraaay!!!!

Some recent photos

Vince likes pasta. Shocker, I know. He also likes to share with Bosley, which is ironic since he won't share anything with anyone else. He's been punished a few times for getting into Bosley's food and water. I think he's starting to get the point, though. Here are some cute pics of the boys.
